Mental health belongs on the field too: Nevyhasni starts cooperation with FK Pardubice

In sport, we often talk about fitness, performance and results. But what about the psyche? Pressure, expectations, injuries, disappointment, fatigue, all belong to the reality not only of professional athletes, but also of coaches or youth. That's why we at Nevyhasni are extremely pleased to join forces with the football club FK Pardubice and bring the topic of mental health directly into the sporting environment. Throughout the 2025/2026 season, we will be opening up the discussion on burnout prevention and mental resilience together: with players, fans and the general public.

Don't go out in sport

The connection with the sports club makes a lot of sense. Sport is a natural place to work on discipline, resilience and overcoming obstacles, which is exactly what helps in the prevention of mental health problems. But at the same time, athletes (and the people around them) face a lot of stress and pressure. Burnout can manifest itself here too, and we believe it can be prevented if we know how.

What is the project about?

FK Pardubice has decided that mental health will not just be a peripheral topic, but a solid part of the club culture. And we are happy to be a part of it. Together we are preparing:

  • workshops and educational activities for fans and the community,
  • online education and sharing stories on social media,
  • support in important matches (e.g. the World Mental Health Day duel in October),
  • charity auction of special jerseys, the proceeds of which will go to support burnout prevention,
  • and other common steps that will show that talking about the psyche has a place in sport.

Why now?

Burnout syndrome affects almost every fourth Czech today. It affects students, parents, employees, as well as athletes of all performance levels. The loss of motivation, purpose and energy often comes subtly and we want to help people recognize the warning signs in time.

Mental health as a team game

Talking about the psyche is not a weakness. It's a strength. And we believe that cooperation with FK Pardubice can be an inspiration for other sports clubs and fans. It shows that mental health care has a place not only in schools and companies, but also on the pitch, in the stands and in the everyday life of the sports community.

Thank you FK Pardubice for your trust.
