Although coaching is a method primarily focused on performance, it is essential for me to create an environment during coaching where clients feel comfortable enough to address uncomfortable topics.
I am a psychologist, and what I enjoy most about this profession in the long run is its positive aspect – that there are procedures, methods, and approaches through which we can help more or less anyone strengthen what they are good at, transform or at least mitigate what causes them trouble, and ultimately live a "fuller" life. And because I am naturally curious, I try to seek these procedures, methods, and approaches on several levels. At Palacký University, I am involved in research on working with anxiety in a work context. At the consulting firm of work psychologists JuiceUP, I help companies and teams with soft skills topics so that they can work more effectively and more contentedly. And with individuals, we either look for a path together in a coaching manner to achieve a dream goal, or we discuss in a counseling manner the causes and possibilities for their solutions. Either way, expect a lot of smiles, questions, and (mutual) discussion from me, rather than a couch, a suit, and an important expression.
